Dark fabric alone still lets light spill around the edges. OneRest Blind combines an opaque honeycomb blind with fitted side guides and a lower seal, helping close the perimeter when it is measured and installed correctly.

Measure the clear opening in centimetres at three points across the width and three points down the height. Use the smallest width and height, and record each to the nearest millimetre (0.1 cm). Allow at least 3 cm of clear recess depth. Not compatible with tilt-turn windows.

Do not let measuring put you off. If your OneRest Blind does not fit, contact us. Return shipping is on us, and we will review the measurements and help put the fit right. Follow the measurement guide before ordering so we can resolve it as quickly as possible.

If your blind is faulty or does not conform to the contract, you are entitled to free remedies under the mandatory consumer law that applies to you. EU consumers have a minimum two-year legal conformity guarantee from delivery, and national law may provide longer protection. Depending on the circumstances, remedies may include repair, replacement, a price reduction or refund. Contact us at info@onerest.eu with your order number and helpful photos. These rights are separate from our 30-day trial and Fit Promise.

You do not need to drill or screw the blind into your window. The frame fits inside the recess; screws for extra support are optional. First, join the labelled frame parts with the supplied assembly screws and fit the brush and sealing strips. A small screwdriver is included; have scissors ready for trimming the strips. Allow around 30 minutes and ask someone to help with wider blinds.

Your made-to-measure blind, colour-matched frame and guide rails, the required fittings, and a step-by-step measurement and installation guide.
Choose a white or black finish. This launch configuration is manually operated and cordless for a clean look around the bed. Screen colours can vary slightly; contact us if you need help choosing.
Made-to-measure production begins after your order is confirmed. Delivery timing is shown during checkout where available. If the finished blind does not fit, contact us: return shipping is on us, and we review the measurements and help put the fit right.

MEASUREMENT GUIDE

Measure it right the first time

Four simple steps to a blind that fits.

Step 01 of 04

The quiet work happens inside

Honeycomb cells with an after-dark advantage.

The cellular blind traps small pockets of air between your room and the window. That structure does more than block light: it adds a considered layer of thermal and acoustic comfort.

Close-up of the black honeycomb cells inside OneRest Blind

Thermal barrier

Air pockets help slow heat moving through the window, softening temperature swings near the bed.

Softer outside sound

Layered material and an enclosed frame help take the edge off some noise reaching the glass.

Comfort with less waste

Adding a barrier at the window can help your room hold onto the temperature you have created.

Comfort beyond blackout

A calmer boundary between your room and the weather.

Windows are where rooms often gain and lose heat fastest. The honeycomb cells add a layer of still air at the glass, helping the bedroom feel more settled across seasons.

Bedroom window showing warm daylight on one side and a cooler shaded area behind OneRest Blind

When it is warm outside

Closing the blind helps reduce direct light and adds another barrier between sun-warmed glass and the room.

When it is cold outside

The cellular layer helps soften the cold-window feel and slow warmth moving towards the glass.

The science of dark sleep

Your body doesn't sleep through light.

Independent sleep and circadian research keeps landing on the same conclusion: light during sleep — even a little — changes how your body rests and repairs. Here is what the studies actually measured.

100 lux

One lit night strains the body

In a randomized PNAS study, a single night of sleeping in ordinary room light raised nighttime heart rate and measurably worsened next-morning insulin resistance (Mason, Zee et al., 2022).

5 lux

Even dim light lightens sleep

Dimmer than a streetlamp bleeding around a curtain edge — yet polysomnography showed more arousals and shallower sleep (Cho et al., 2016).

Deep sleep

Light shifts you out of it

Lights-on nights produced less slow-wave (deep) sleep and reduced delta and spindle power on EEG (Cho, Joo et al., 2013).

88,905

Tracked for eight years

Higher night-time light exposure was linked to higher all-cause and cardiometabolic mortality in a large wearable-sensor cohort (Windred, Cain et al., 2024).

Size and fit

5 answers
01Will it fit a very wide, tall or unusually shaped window?

We make each blind to your measurements, with both width and height from 20 to 300 cm. For larger dimensions, sloping sides, arches or other unusual shapes, send us a photo and your measurements before ordering so we can check whether the frame will fit.

02Do I measure inside the recess or over the window?

Measure inside the window recess where the frame will sit, rather than just the glass or the wall around the window. The blind fits inside the opening and needs at least 3 cm of clear depth. Measure width and height in three places because openings may not be perfectly square. Enter the smallest width and height in cm to one decimal place.

03Does it fit tilt-turn windows or windows with protruding handles?

The blind is not compatible with tilt-turn windows yet. For other window types, the frame, sliding blind and handle all need clearance. Check that the handle will not hit the blind and that the window can still open. Send us a photo and your measurements before ordering if you are unsure.

04What if I measure incorrectly or the blind does not fit?

Email info@onerest.eu with your order number, a photo of the opening and the measurements you used. We cover standard return shipping, review the measurements and help put the fit right. During the 30-day trial from delivery, you can also choose to return the blind for a refund.

05How do I order for several windows with different sizes?

Measure every window separately, even if they look identical. Enter the first blind’s size, colour and opening direction, then add it to the basket. Repeat for each different size. Use the quantity selector only for blinds with exactly the same measurements and options. Check each blind’s dimensions in the basket before paying.

Fitting and removal

4 answers
01Do I need to drill, and how long does installation take?

You do not need to drill or screw the blind into your window. The frame fits inside the recess; screws for extra support are optional. First, join the labelled frame parts with the supplied assembly screws and fit the brush and sealing strips. A small screwdriver is included; have scissors ready for trimming the strips. Allow around 30 minutes and ask someone to help with wider blinds.

02Can I use it in a rental without damaging the window?

Yes, the blind can be used in a rental. Standard installation needs no drilling or screws into the window, so you can take it down again without damaging the window frame. The self-adhesive brush and sealing strips attach to the blind’s own frame. Screws into the window are optional for extra support; using them will leave screw holes.

03Can I take the blind down when I move?

Yes. With standard installation, you can remove the blind’s frame from the recess without damage because it is not screwed into the window. If you choose screws for extra support, removal will leave screw holes. The blind is made to measure, so check your new window’s dimensions if you want to take it with you. Contact us if you need help removing it.

04How do I check that the frame is secure?

Follow the installation guide and check that the frame sits evenly and securely in the opening and that the blind slides freely. If the frame is loose or needs forcing into place, stop and contact us with a photo and your measurements.

Daylight and ventilation

5 answers
01Can I let daylight in without taking the blind down?

Yes. Slide the blind fully or partly open by hand while the frame stays in place. You do not need to remove it every morning. Choose the opening direction when ordering, then decide how much of the window to uncover for daylight.

02Can I open the window and get fresh air at night?

The blind is not compatible with tilt-turn windows. For other window types, it depends on the opening direction and clearance around the frame. The blind can slide open, but the frame stays in place, so check that your window can move freely before ordering. Open the blind when airing the room and keep vents clear; a fully closed blind limits air circulation at the window.

03Could condensation or mould form behind the blind?

The blind does not treat damp or replace ventilation, and we cannot promise that condensation will not form behind it. Open the blind regularly, air the room, keep vents clear and wipe condensation from the glass. If the window already has a damp problem, address the cause before fitting the blind.

04What does the blind do about summer heat?

The honeycomb structure holds air between the room and the glass, adding an insulating layer that can help slow heat transfer. The result depends on your window, sunlight and ventilation. The blind does not actively cool the room.

05How do I clean the blind?

Use a soft duster or a vacuum on its lowest setting with a brush attachment. Wipe marks on the frame with a lightly damp microfibre cloth. Avoid soaking the honeycomb material or using abrasive cleaners, and follow the supplied care instructions.

Blackout, looks and safety

5 answers
01How does it stop edge light and streetlights?

Opaque honeycomb material blocks light through the blind. The frame, side guides and lower seal close the gaps that ordinary blinds often leave around the edges. This applies to daylight and streetlights alike. A close seal needs accurate measurements and correct installation; if you see edge light, we can help check the fit.

02What will it look like in the bedroom and from outside?

Choose white or black, with a coordinated blind, frame and side guides. Open the blind during the day while the frame stays in the window. The product gallery shows both colours in rooms. To check the rear finish or street-facing view, contact us for a relevant photo before ordering.

03Are there loose cords a child could reach?

The blind is operated by hand, with no loose operating cords or chains. That is not a nursery safety certification. Fit the frame securely and keep cots and climbable furniture away from the window. You can leave the blind partly open if your child prefers some light.

04Is the material tested for odour, emissions and fire safety?

If you need documentation about materials, emissions or fire performance, contact us before ordering so we can confirm what documentation is available for this blind. We do not promise that the product is odour-free, emission-free or fireproof.

05Will it make my room quieter?

The layered material and enclosed frame can soften some sound at the window. The blind does not make the room soundproof; window construction and wall insulation still matter.

Delivery, trial and support

5 answers
01When will my blind arrive, and where does it ship from?

Delivery is normally estimated at 10–15 calendar days after ordering. Production usually starts within 24–48 hours because each blind is made to measure. Check the estimated arrival range beside the buy button. If you have a firm deadline or need to know the dispatch country for your order, contact us before ordering. We send tracking after dispatch where the carrier provides it.

02Can I try one blind first, and who pays return shipping?

Yes. Order one blind and try it at home for 30 days from delivery, including made-to-measure and sale blinds. You may install and use it. Tell us by the end of day 30 if you want to return it. Standard return shipping is free; we arrange collection or a prepaid label. Return all parts safely packed, following our instructions.

03What if my blind develops a fault?

Contact us with your order number and photos if your blind develops a fault. Remedies for faulty products are separate from the 30-day trial and Fit Promise. Our return policy explains the product rights and remedies that apply to your purchase.

04Why choose this over a basic roller blind or a sleep mask?

You get a made-to-measure blind with a fitted frame and edge seals to help darken the whole window. A basic roller blind can leave edge gaps, while a sleep mask only covers the wearer’s eyes. You can see the price for your measurements and any quantity discount before paying, and start with a single window.

05Is this a one-off purchase, and how do I get help?

Yes, the blind is a one-off purchase with no subscription. The checkout shows the amount and available payment methods before you pay. For help before or after ordering, email info@onerest.eu. Include your order number and relevant photos for order questions.
