Dark fabric alone still lets light spill around the edges. OneRest Blind combines an opaque honeycomb blind with fitted side guides and a lower seal, helping close the perimeter when it is measured and installed correctly.

Measure the clear opening in centimetres at three points across the width and three points down the height. Use the smallest width and height, and record each to the nearest millimetre (0.1 cm). Allow at least 3 cm of clear recess depth.

Do not let measuring put you off. If your OneRest Blind does not fit, contact us. Return shipping is on us, and we will review the measurements and help put the fit right. Follow the measurement guide before ordering so we can resolve it as quickly as possible.

OneRest Blind is covered by a 2-year product guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship under normal household use. It does not cover incorrect measuring or installation, normal wear and tear, or damage caused by misuse. Contact us with your order number and photos, and we will help with the next step. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

Installation is designed to be straightforward. The blind arrives as a coordinated set of labelled parts with the required fittings and a clear step-by-step guide. Read through the guide first and ask someone to help lift wider blinds.

Your made-to-measure blind, colour-matched frame and guide rails, the required fittings, and a step-by-step measurement and installation guide.
Choose a white or black finish. This launch configuration is manually operated and cordless for a clean look around the bed. Screen colours can vary slightly; contact us if you need help choosing.
Made-to-measure production begins after your order is confirmed. Delivery timing is shown during checkout where available. If the finished blind does not fit, contact us: return shipping is on us, and we review the measurements and help put the fit right.

MEASUREMENT GUIDE

Measure it right the first time

Four simple steps to a blind that fits.

Step 01 of 04
A diagram showing the three-centimetre clear depth needed inside a window recessStep 01

Step 1 of 4

Check the recess depth

Measure the clear depth from the front edge of the recess toward the window, then use the smallest measurement.

You need at least 3 cm of clear space.

Step 2 of 4

Allow for handles and fittings

Check handles, locks and any parts that protrude. Measure from the front edge to the nearest obstruction.

Step 3 of 4

Measure width and height in three places

Measure the width at the top, middle and bottom, then the height at the left, centre and right. Always use the smallest measurement.

INSTALLATION GUIDE

Ready in four simple steps

Follow the guide and fit your blind without specialist tools.

Step 01 of 04
Blackout blind frame profiles arranged for assembly on a flat surfaceStep 01

Step 1 of 4

Assemble the frame

Lay the profiles on a flat surface. Join the side profiles to the top and bottom, with the inner channels facing inward and the marked ends aligned.

Check that the finished frame is square and stable.

Step 2 of 4

Apply the sealing strip

Peel away the backing and press the strip along all four sides. Do not stretch it; shape it neatly around each corner.

Step 3 of 4

Fit the brush strip

Remove the backing and place the brush beside the sealing strip. Trim the corners so the top and bottom finish flush.

The quiet work happens inside

Honeycomb cells with an after-dark advantage.

The cellular blind traps small pockets of air between your room and the window. That structure does more than block light: it adds a considered layer of thermal and acoustic comfort.

Close-up of the black honeycomb cells inside OneRest Blind

Thermal barrier

Air pockets help slow heat moving through the window, softening temperature swings near the bed.

Softer outside sound

Layered material and an enclosed frame help take the edge off some noise reaching the glass.

Comfort with less waste

Adding a barrier at the window can help your room hold onto the temperature you have created.

Covered vs. OneRest Fitted

Dark fabric covers the glass. A made-to-measure system is designed around the whole opening.

Curtain-style or standard blind

Ordinary blackout blinds leaving bright gaps around the window

Light leaks around the edges

The fabric covers the middle while daylight can still spill around the sides, top and sill.

Generic sizing

Standard width increments can leave an awkward gap or require cutting and adjusting at home.

A single flat layer

Darkens the room but adds little structure between the room and the glass.

A layered, add-on look

Curtains or a loose blind can cover the window without giving the opening a clean fitted finish.

You are left to solve the fit

When a generic size is wrong, getting the window covered properly can become another DIY job.

A clean fitted finish

Comfort beyond blackout

A calmer boundary between your room and the weather.

Windows are where rooms often gain and lose heat fastest. The honeycomb cells add a layer of still air at the glass, helping the bedroom feel more settled across seasons.

When it is warm outside

Closing the blind helps reduce direct light and adds another barrier between sun-warmed glass and the room.

When it is cold outside

The cellular layer helps soften the cold-window feel and slow warmth moving towards the glass.

The science of dark sleep

Your body doesn't sleep through light.

Independent sleep and circadian research keeps landing on the same conclusion: light during sleep — even a little — changes how your body rests and repairs. Here is what the studies actually measured.

100 lux

One lit night strains the body

In a randomized PNAS study, a single night of sleeping in ordinary room light raised nighttime heart rate and measurably worsened next-morning insulin resistance (Mason, Zee et al., 2022).

5 lux

Even dim light lightens sleep

Dimmer than a streetlamp bleeding around a curtain edge — yet polysomnography showed more arousals and shallower sleep (Cho et al., 2016).

Deep sleep

Light shifts you out of it

Lights-on nights produced less slow-wave (deep) sleep and reduced delta and spindle power on EEG (Cho, Joo et al., 2013).

88,905

Tracked for eight years

Higher night-time light exposure was linked to higher all-cause and cardiometabolic mortality in a large wearable-sensor cohort (Windred, Cain et al., 2024).

It is designed as a total-blackout system: opaque honeycomb material blocks light through the blind, while the top rail, side guides and lower seal address light around the edges. Correct measuring and installation are essential for the closest seal.

We handle it. Contact us with your order number and a photo of the opening. Return shipping is on us, and we will review the measurements and help put the fit right. Following the measurement guide before ordering helps us resolve any problem quickly.

Measure the clear opening in centimetres at three points across the width and three points down the height. Enter the smallest width and smallest height to the nearest millimetre (0.1 cm). Check that the recess has at least 3 cm of clear depth and is free from handles or vents where the frame will sit.

The current configurator accepts a width and height from 20 to 300 cm. If your window falls outside those limits, contact us before ordering and we can confirm whether another solution is possible.

OneRest Blind is available in white and black. The blind, frame and guides use a coordinated finish for a clean, built-in look. Colours may appear slightly different from screen to screen.

The cellular structure holds pockets of air between the room and the glass, adding an insulating layer that can help slow heat transfer and reduce the cold-window feel. Results depend on the window, room and installation.

The layered blind and enclosed frame can help soften some sound reaching the window, but OneRest Blind is not a soundproofing system. Window construction and wall insulation still make the biggest difference.

Yes. The blind is supplied as a labelled system with a step-by-step guide. Read the guide before starting, check the opening is square and clear, and ask someone to help with wider blinds.

Contact info@onerest.eu with your order number, a photo of the opening and the measurements you used. We cover return shipping, review the measurements with you and help you reach the right solution.

Use a soft duster or a vacuum on its lowest setting with a brush attachment. For marks on the frame, use a lightly damp microfibre cloth. Avoid soaking the honeycomb material or using abrasive cleaners.
